A charming and classic piece of Japanese folk art, this vintage Komoriko (babysitter) Kokeshi doll stands at 7 cm tall and features a delightful nodding/bobblehead mechanism. Hand-painted with wonderful expression, she wears a deep red floral kimono tied with a vibrant green obi, her hair styled in a traditional floral-patterned bun. Peek around her shoulder to find a sweet, tiny wooden baby nestled safely on her back. A heartwarming Showa-era collectible preserved in excellent vintage condition.
