Vintage Japanese Samurai Kokeshi – Signed Warrior Figure (24cm)

Add a touch of noble bushido to your collection with this impressive, hand-carved Japanese warrior Kokeshi doll. Standing 24cm (~9.5 inches) tall, this unique piece of Sosaku (Creative) Kokeshi art depicts a powerful samurai figure in full armor.

The artisan has masterfully captured the detailed geometry of a samurai helmet and the intricate lacing of traditional armor using skillful pyrography (wood burning) on rich, light-brown wood. Its stylized features and powerful stance offer a unique, minimalist interpretation of a classical Japanese icon.

The plain wooden base bears the faint, weathered signature and hanko stamp of the artist (refer to close-up). This weathering is common on authentic vintage pieces and adds to its historical character.

The carved vertical kanji text on the body reads:
