YUKIGUNI KOKESHI DOLL

The incorporation of sumi-e techniques, particularly with the Hitofude-me eye treatment, brings an additional layer of artistry and precision to his dolls. The Hitofude-me (one-stroke eye) is such a distinct and striking feature, capturing a subtle yet profound emotion in just a single, fluid brushstroke. This kokeshi by Ishihara Hideo is very collectable. There is no signature but artist's hanko stamp on the bottom. This kokeshi is 27cm tall and in excellent condition.
