Elegant Vintage Sosaku Kokeshi by Miyashita Hajime

This kokeshi is a tall and elegant lady. Her hair is beautifully done. Her lashes are very feminine. She is ready for the day!

This Kokeshi designed by prize-winning kokeshi artist Miyashita Hajime has artist's stamp on the base. The artist started making kokeshi in 1959 and retired in 2006 after his shop burned down. The crown prince Naruhito and princess Masako collected his creative kokeshi dolls. 

This kokeshi is in excellent condition with artist's hanko stamp on the base.
