The rose-breasted galah is one of Australia's most common and beloved cockatoos. This very playful bird is easily spotted by its pink chest and bouncing acrobatic flight as it roams around the Australian plains in large noisy flocks in search of seeds and nuts. The galah nests in tree hollows or cliff crevices, often close to other breeding pairs. Both the male and female take part in incubating the 2 - 5 eggs, normally lasting 4 weeks.
