Artistic Detail & Design

Standing at 18cm tall, this piece features Miyashita’s signature emotive styling. The doll is carved with a beautifully rounded bob haircut and adorable carved side pigtails tied with painted red ribbons. Her face is a portrait of quiet serenity, detailed with delicate, long painted eyelashes and a demure expression.

The body features an exquisite, deep reddish-brown stain adorned with beautifully incised lines and hand-painted cross patterns to represent a traditional winter kimono. The rich contrast of the natural wood grain peeking through the stained torso gives it a striking, high-end mid-century aesthetic.
