VINTAGE KOKESHI BON BON BENTO BOX

This gorgeous little kokeshi container has 2 compartments. The base beautifully painted depicts this characters kimono and is the deepest vessel where bon bons would have been kept for guests. The next tier is the cute face and a more shallow container again to hold another type of sweet for guests and ontop is the lid with original tassle. 

There are 2 of this style kokeshi bento style container is in excellent condition and would suit to hold trinkets or special things.  Approx from 1950's-60's. Made in Japan stickers were introduced in 1921 and phased out by the early 1960's.

The faces of each are a little different as these are hand made.
